The In-house Book Store
Our friends at Candelo Books will be opening a pop up bookstore during the literary events at the festival the full range of books by authors speaking and contributing at the festival will be available for purchase before and after the events.

Park Stage
The Candelo Arts Society will present a full program of entertainment in the Park for free. The program of events will be posted on the website and in local media in the week leading up to the festival. Expect to see locally made music, juggle a little, have fun with the family, play village games, see south east youth perform, marvel at the markets, busking, street performance and dance.

Candelo General Store and Café
The Candelo General Store and Café alongside the Southern Valley Folk Club will present a blackboard concert at the Café. Musicians are invited to perform a 15 minute slot at the venue between 1 and 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. Acoustic sessions are welcome at other times. A range a food and refreshments will be available.

Candelo Bowling Club
The Candelo Bowling Club is offering free barefoot bowls all day and ‘The Socialiser’ crew will be running a dance party Saturday night from 8pm.’The Socialiser’ is run by Bega Sound Collective, who feature local DJs from around the Bega Valley and South Coast NSW.

Roll on up for a chilled beer and tasty food, a bowl and a boogie. Open all weekend from 10am till close.

Candelo Hotel
The Candelo Hotel and The Candelo Blues Club will present an afternoon of Blues on the Saturday (4-7pm). This is a free event. Acoustic sessions are also welcome at the hotel at other times. A range a food and refreshments will be available all day.

Bobby Roger Bar
A festival first the Bobby Roger bar is an excellent place for our loyal patrons to wind-up or un-wind around show time. The BRB is a great place to meet the festival artists, catch up with friends pre and post show. Access to this establishment is for ticket holders only.

Late in the evenings - some call it deejaying/selecting. He says he's just playing records. Creating an atmosphere in the Bobby Roger Bar after the show Phil Moriarty spins the discs. From his extensive collection of 45s. Archivist eclectic - all requests denied. Not to be missed. The Projectionist!

The Bobby Roger Bar will be offering bar and food facilities and is kindly supported by Tathra Hotel, Vintage Vans, Rusty Fig Wines and the Bent Spoke Brewing Co. Food and drinks will be available for an hour either side of our hall concert events and during intermissions. A tasty range refreshments will be available for purchase, therefore no byo.

Cayce Hill and the Funhouse team will program 2 hours of village games and frivolity on Sunday morning from 11am. The games will be located in the Candelo Park Market precinct and all are invited to join in on the fun.

St Peters Church
Local Artist Craig Cameron is creating a video art installation in the St Peters church that will be open to the public in the twilight hours. Craig is well known in the area for his expressive and diverse art. This is a one of installation created for the 2017 Candelo Village Festival with kind support of the St Peters church and the Sapphire Coast Anglican Parish.

The Crossing Gallery
The Crossing Gallery is owned and operated by Anne Stanton. Anne works alongside other Candelo Artists and exhibits work by local and national artists. Kim Falkenmire and Anne Stanton present an exhibition of historical photographs of Candelo over the festival weekend.  Be sure to drop in to The Crossing Gallery Candelo and experience the exhibit.

Artists of all walks are invited to participate in the festival, outside of the curated program. Buskers and street performers are welcome in the festival precinct and spaces will be provided, visual artists wishing to paint at the festival are encouraged to do so. The Trickster Presents Caravan of Wonders
The Caravan of Wonders is an event in the Candelo Park on Saturday afternoon (4-7pm) featuring young performers from across the South East region. The event will be hosted by The Trickster Rhys Davies and is an excellent opportunity to see some of The Sapphire Coast’s hidden gems. Rhys will also present a circus skills master class on Sunday at 1pm in the park.

Tim Winterflood is a Wollongong based singer-songwriter grown on the Far South Coast, NSW. Fascinated by the charm of words, Tim ferments his guitar, harmonica and loop pedal into a thought gripping folky brew. His 2015 release Kindling is regularly featured on ABC South East Radio, and his recent single ‘Riverbed’ received high rotation on Triple j Unearthed.

The Cabbies
Six years ago in Candelo a unique band evolved under the guidance of brass and woodwind maestro Helen Gill. The criteria for joining the band was simple: to choose an instrument you have never played before ! Called the Candelo Adult Beginner's band now fondly know as Cabbies, we've tackled a few instruments and are almost prepared to bring you a tune or two.
